Our Story

Overview

Swamy Vivekananda Central School (SVCS) was established in the year 2005–2006 under the banner of Swamy Vivekananda Educational and Social Welfare Trust. With a heartfelt vision to provide quality education rooted in Indian values, the school serves the children of Anekal and its surrounding communities.

The school was founded by four visionaries — Sri K. Venkatesh Murthy (KVM), Sri Narayanappa, Sri T. N. Ambreesh, and Smt. Shyamala — whose collective belief that education must shape not just the mind but also the character of a child became the guiding philosophy of SVCS.

Starting with the State Syllabus in 2006 (Nursery to Grade VII), expanding to Grade X in 2010–2011, and receiving CBSE affiliation in 2015–2016, SVCS has grown into a nationally recognised institution. Today, 120+ qualified educators shape hundreds of young minds every year.

We are located in the serene surroundings of Thelagarahalli, away from the noise of the city. Our 2-acre campus features well-ventilated classrooms, science laboratories, a computer lab, a well-stocked library, sports grounds, and a dedicated yoga and meditation hall.

The Semi-Gurukul Model

SVCS follows a unique Semi-Gurukul Model that blends the ancient Gurukul tradition of holistic, character-first education with the structured rigour of modern CBSE curriculum. Students benefit from daily Yoga and meditation sessions, Vedic studies, and a Guru-Shishya bond with their teachers — all while excelling in board examinations and co-curricular activities.
